Information Resources, Inc. and Navic Networks Form Joint Relationship to Support Next Generation of

IRI Expands BehaviorScan® Solution to Meet Digital and On-demand Needs

BOSTON and CHICAGO — Feb. 27, 2006 — In the wake of a changing media landscape and the advances in on-demand and digital video technologies, Navic Networks, the leading interactive television technology and service provider to the cable and direct broadcast satellite television industry, and Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), the world’s leading provider of enterprise market information solutions and services, today announced a joint relationship to provide detailed consumer behavior insight information required by manufacturers and retailers.

The IRI BehaviorScan® service can deliver different advertising copy and weight to specific homes within the same market and enable clients to measure the sales response of new copy rotation, different daypart mixes, cable versus network allocations and spending plan reductions. Navic’s Video Targeting solution provides IRI with the ability to target different advertisement copy to numerous groups of households simultaneously.

By leveraging Navic’s integration with leading video-on-demand systems, and its existing technology for targeting television advertising, Navic provides the industry’s most scalable and flexible solution for targeted video.

“In this highly fragmented and expensive media marketplace, reaching the right consumer is critical. Our clients can now test the effectiveness and ROI of precisely targeted advertising” said IRI President of Global Services Sunil (Sunny) Garga. “As cable TV is moving to a digital platform and on-demand programming is increasing, our relationship with Navic empowers IRI to expand the BehaviorScan capability and provide our clients with a unique capability to test the potential of these latest technologies.”

“IRI’s use of Navic’s Video Targeting solution for market research is a natural extension of our product,” stated John Hoctor, vice president of business development and marketing, Navic Networks. “Advertisers use this technology to target advertising to groups of households based on demographic profiles. IRI takes this to the next level by helping advertisers to better analyze and plan their media campaigns.”

IRI plans to utilize Navic’s Video Targeting solution across all the cable systems where it currently deploys its BehaviorScan solution, including cable systems owned by Charter, Cox, and Time Warner. The initial deployment, on the Motorola Digital platform, will be followed by deployment on the Scientific Atlanta platform.
