Course Information for Introduction to InfoScan Measures

Build a basic understanding of how to interpret and apply SymphonyIRI Group core measures. Focus on the meaning behind the numbers. During this course, the key measures and their calculation are defined. Examples and exercises show how to articulate how to use them to drive business.
Course contents include:

  • Identification of appropriate measure(s) for a business issue
  • Understanding the meaning of basic measure types and corresponding numeric representation
  • Defining measure calculations 

Course Outline

  • Distribution Measures – ACV, ACV Weighted Distribution, Average Weekly ACV Weighted Distribution
  • Volumetric Measures – Sales vs. Merchandised Sales, Baseline/Incremental Sales (factors affecting both), Share, Sales Rate and Velocity Measures, Performance Indices
  • Pricing Measures – Average Price, Merchandised Price, Average Non-Promoted Price
  • Merchandising Measures – Merchandising Conditions, % Sales by Merchandising Condition
