IRI Names Krishnakumar (KK) S. Davey and Ed See Senior Partners in Consulting & Innovation Practice
Former Partner at Oliver Wyman and Former President and COO of MMA Bring International Marketing and Consulting Experience to Growing Practice
CHICAGO, July 27, 2009 - Further expanding its ongoing efforts to bring high value, consulting and strategic advisory services and solutions to its clients worldwide, Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), the leading global provider of consumer, shopper, and market insights for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) retail, and healthcare industries, announced today that Krishnakumar (KK) S. Davey, Ph.D. and Ed See have joined the company as senior partners within the IRI Consulting & Innovation practice.
As senior partners, Davey and See will lead growth initiatives within the IRI Consulting & Innovation practice, focused on developing and applying next generation analytic marketing capabilities to solve a variety of client business problems and provide the critical strategy, insight, and direction to IRI's wide range of CPG retailer and manufacturer clients. Both professionals will take client leadership roles in many of IRI's key accounts to develop the required framework, supporting capabilities and the right talent for delivering an entirely new level of influence and advice that leverages IRI's unique assets, including its predictive analytics, deep consumer and shopper insights and enabling technologies.

Dr. Krishnakumar (KK) S. Davey
Dr. Davey brings more than 22 years' experience at leading consulting, media/advertising, syndicated research and custom market research companies throughout the world to IRI clients. Prior to joining IRI, Davey served as partner at Oliver Wyman, where he worked with leaders in technology, media, leisure and entertainment industries on a variety of marketing strategy engagements.
Dr. Davey's work experience spans the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has led engagements in demand assessment and offer design, pricing, marketing spend allocation and optimization, customer profitability improvement, corporate and brand repositioning, brand portfolio optimization, sales effectiveness, channel management, new product launch, and marketing capability building. He has worked with a wide variety of survey and syndicated data, internal and external databases, marketing research tools and methodologies, and marketing science models. Prior to his role at Oliver Wyman, Dr. Davey was the general manager at WPP's Grey Global Group and MediaCom, where he built the Marketing ROI Practice. Prior to that, he held management positions in the marketing consulting practices at Knowledge Networks, McKinsey & Company, AC Nielsen, ORC, and MRAS/Burke.
Dr. Davey holds a Ph.D. in marketing modeling from Vanderbilt University. His dissertation on choice modeling won the coveted Best Dissertation Award in 1991.
Ed See
During his 25-year career, See has advised many of the world's most successful companies on how to design, develop, and successfully implement growth models that resulted in direct business performance improvement, especially in the digital space. Before coming to IRI, he most recently served as the president and chief operating officer at Marketing Management Analytics (MMA), where he oversaw the development of the company's widely recognized marketing analytics program, helping CPG, pharmaceutical, financial service, and retail companies get more from their marketing, improve forecasting capabilities and increase marketing investment return.
Prior to MMA, See was a partner at Andersen Business Consulting, a business unit of accounting leader Arthur Andersen. There, he was a leader in the Internet marketing practice, helping grow that business globally. See then became a global managing director at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), when the Andersen practices were joined with KPMG Consulting, and he became a leader in BearingPoint's strategy, transformation, and process practice. See began his career with IBM, where he held a variety of leadership and senior management positions during his 15-year tenure.
See holds a master's degree with a specialization in human-computer interaction from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He completed coursework towards his doctorate, focusing on digital interaction. He is a Trustee of Bethany College, a member of the Renner Foundation, and is on the advisory board of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Rensselaer. See is well known in professional circles, being the former president of STC, a 25,000 member international professional society in communications, usability and Web design. He holds several outstanding achievement and inventor's awards from IBM and also holds a number of patent applications awards.
